Mokolea Lava Pools, North Shore Kauai, Hawaii. A very dangerous place when surf is high; not for swimming. Ocean waves surge through channels beneath the lava shelf splashing over the rocks and then get sucked back into the well. When surf is high, waves will also crash over the lava shelf adding to the danger.
